who we are

designers

An active studio-like environment, b9 architects puts design first. Each member of our architectural staff, from the Principal to the newest hire, is expected to participate in the design of projects. Regular design meetings, charettes, and a collaborative process ensures that each of our projects is considered and conceptually sound.

We view each of our projects as an opportunity to innovate. Minimizing repetition where possible, b9 architects is always seeking opportunities to make new, site-specific, thoughtful designs.

advocates

We are advocates for our clients, for Seattle and for the design/development community. We actively engage in conversations with local neighborhood groups and City Leadership to actively improve the work. We are currently actively involved in setting appropriate expectations and fixing the City of Seattle’s Design Review process.

neighbors

With a large store front office space, we are proud to be a part of Seattle’s iconic Pioneer Square. We enjoy hosting events of all varieties, including happy hours for emerging professionals and panel discussions with leaders from a multitude of backgrounds to discuss the items impacting our industry and City.

We also open our space as a gallery for local artists to display and sell their work during Pioneer Square’s First Thursday Art Walk. We can’t wait to safely open our doors for our neighbors again.

educators

Everyday we work to continue educating ourselves on the challenges of our profession and the region we call home. In addition, we frequently partner with the University of Washington and other schools to help further architecture in academia, including advocating for a greater emphasis on housing.
