seattle case study
The volume of the house opens and bends toward and around the studio space, directing the user's motion. As the volume reflects back into the house, the path of circulation continues up to the second floor. As the user continues back into the house, the volume opens up again. The public spaces on the ground floor bend around the studio in plan, while in section, the private spaces bend around the living spaces. This design for a modern housing prototype was published in the Seattle Case Study Home, Fall 2002.
