The project is a single building containing four townhouses with underground parking. It is designed to express each individual unit through a repetition of volumes and planes at the exterior while maintaining its presence as a whole connecting the individual elements. The different exterior materials emphasize the interaction between these formal elements. The project is entered from a central courtyard that is open vertically to the sky and accessed horizontally from a common walkway from the street and the underground parking. While the units are similar on the first and second floors, the variations in the exterior forms create unique volumes in the interior. The third floor of each unit is distinctive, responding to both the exterior forms and establishing a connection between the interior spaces and exterior covered decks.
